Overview

About Us

Adelaide Tennis Academy (ATA) is one of Australia’s few truly elite tennis academies. Nestled in the heart of Adelaide, just 10 minutes from the city centre, airport, and beaches, our location strikes the perfect blend between urban convenience and coastal relaxation.

With 14 courts and a brand-new, state-of-the-art ITF clubhouse — complete with coaches’ offices and physio facilities — ATA is home to a world-class training environment. Our squads are built on a clear philosophy: work hard, have fun, and maintain high standards.

We bring the world to South Australia — our team consists of pro coaches who have extensive experience in both playing and teaching tennis at the highest levels, bringing a wealth of knowledge around the globe.

Now, we’re entering an exciting growth phase and looking for a full-time coach ready to go all-in. This is more than just a coaching job – it’s a rare opportunity to grow with us, shape the next generation of players, and become part of a visionary coaching culture in one of Australia’s most respected tennis environments.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for a coach who wants to make this their career — not a side hustle. Someone who thrives in a high-performance culture, values connection, and wants to make real impact on and off the court.

This is a diverse and rewarding role that includes:

  • Leading and growing our Mini’s Program (Red, Orange & Green Ball)
  • Starting and running new Adult Coaching Classes
  • Assisting in our Elite Junior Squads (tournament and national level)
  • Running private lessons with juniors — including clients passed on directly from senior coaches
  • Receiving direct mentorship from ATA’s senior high-performance team
  • A clear pathway to leadership, with the chance to build and lead your own coaching group/team
  • Access to premium venues, high client demand, and ongoing professional development

What We’re Looking For

We’re after someone serious about this craft — who doesn’t just “teach tennis” but has genuine love and passion for the game.

Must-Haves:

  • Tennis Australia Development or Club Professional Coaching Qualification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Availability to coach full-time weekdays + weekends
  • A strong work ethic and hunger to learn, lead, and grow
  • Strong communication skills — especially with kids and parents
  • A team-first mindset, but also able to take initiative and run programs independently
  • Australian working rights and Working with Children’s Check

Bonus if you have:

  • Experience coaching Hot Shots (Red/Orange ball)
  • Strong competitive playing background
  • Experience with adult classes, cardio tennis or community tennis programs
