Senior Coach

Placed: 16 May 2025

Overview

🌍 Location Torquay, Victoria (Surf Coast)

Just 90 minutes from Melbourne and walking distance to some of Australia’s best beaches.

🏆 About the Role

This role is part of a growing tennis academy with a strong team, clear systems, and a genuine focus on long-term development — of both players and people. We care about building strong athletes, but we care just as much about the kind of humans they’re becoming.

We’re looking for a coach who wants to be part of that process — someone who’s invested in the bigger picture. You’ll be joining a team that takes development seriously — of players, of the program, and of each coach who steps on court.

🧱Your Role in the Team

This role is about more than running sessions — it’s about playing a key part in helping players improve with purpose. You’ll coach within a structured development pathway, contribute to a high-standard team culture, and grow alongside your athletes — in a team that values accountability, integrity, personal growth, and long-term development.

🔹 Plan and Deliver Hot Shots Sessions (Blue to Green)

Coach players aged 4–12 using our structured player pathway. You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to deliver sessions that are fun, focused, and appropriate to each age and stage.

🔹 Support Player Development with Clear Planning

You’ll help players set meaningful goals, build simple development plans, and guide them toward progress over time. The focus is on giving each player a clear path and the tools to follow it — not just in sessions, but beyond them.

🔹 Tournament Preparation & Travel

As players step into competition, you’ll help prepare them for matches and, where suitable, provide on-site support at events. Depending on your interest and experience, you may also travel with groups to tournaments across Victoria and interstate.

🔹 Tailored One-on-One Coaching

Run individual sessions that are personalised, goal-driven, and connected to the bigger picture. Whether the player is just starting or already competing, your lessons will be built around their needs and long-term growth.

🤛 Who You Are

You’re not just looking for a coaching job — you’re looking for something that aligns with who you are and who you want to become.

You’re the kind of person who sees coaching as a craft. You want to master it — not just to teach forehands, but to shape lives. You care about helping young people grow into strong athletes and solid humans.

You want to be part of a team where everyone’s learning, sharing, and raising the standard — not just showing up to run sessions. You take initiative. You’re self-aware, reflective, and serious about your own growth.

You’re also drawn to the lifestyle — the idea of living by the beach, in a town with farmers markets, good people, and clean air. You want to work hard at something meaningful and then walk down to the ocean at the end of the day. You value balance — but you don’t settle for average.

You’re open to relocating — not for a job title, but for a mission that reflects your values. You’re looking for a place to grow, contribute, and be part of something with purpose and direction.
