Desirable attributes should include good communication skills, the ability to liaise with clients, parents/carers and ensure a high level of professionalism at all times.

We are looking for proposals which include detailed experience, proposed programs and a focus on community engagement and player retention. The proposal needs to demonstrate an understanding of local demographics and market conditions, as well as the ability to build strong relationships with club members and stakeholders.

PROPOSAL CRITERIA

  • Experience and Qualifications : including minimum Development Level 1 Coach
  • Proposed services to deliver : including but not exclusively cardio tennis, hot shots, group lessons, private lessons, junior club
  • Community and stakeholder engagement
  • Financial considerations
  • Coach Member Tennis Australia or alternative insurance, WWC certificate and first aid certificate

Tennis Approach is growing, and we’re on the lookout for a committed and energetic coach to join our team. Based at the iconic Cottesloe Tennis Club, we offer a dynamic coaching environment with strong community ties and a passion for player development at all levels.

About the Role:

We’re offering a minimum of 20 hours per week, with the potential for more based on availability and performance. You’ll be supporting a wide range of programs including Hot Shots, squads, private lessons, adult group classes and cardio tennis.

We’re after someone who is:

  • Reliable and hardworking – shows up on time and gives 100% every session.
  • Energetic and engaging – brings great energy on and off the court.
  • Flexible – able to adapt to a variety of programs, players, and schedules.
  • Tennis savvy – solid playing background and sound technical understanding.

Requirements:

  • Coaching qualification (minimum Development Coach preferred, or working towards)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • First Aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain)

The Albany Tennis Club Inc (WA) is seeking the services of a qualified coach to operate and deliver tennis coaching at our brand new facility. The club has 6 plexi-pave hard courts, with 4 additional courts soon to be constructed and lighting installed to all 10 courts.

The City of Albany has a population of over 40,000. Albany is a thriving regional city on the coast and will provide the successful applicant a great work/life balance. Beaches, cafes, restaurants and all modern amenities are within easy reach.

The club will offer a 3-year contract to the successful applicant at an attractive annual fee, allowing the coach to “run their own business”. In return, the club will expect the coach to deliver the Key Role Responsibilities listed below, including activities and responsibilities at no cost to the club at at the coaches expense.

Key Role Responsibilities

  • Manage & professionally deliver programs with the goal of creating an enjoyable and inclusive environment for players of all ages and standards.
  • At reasonable rates (to be approved by the Club Committee), plan, deliver and run:
    • Hot Shots Tennis
    • Group lessons (adult & Junior)
    • Private lessons
    • High performance squads/Junior school holiday camps & clinics
    • Tennis in Schools program
    • Cardio Tennis
    • Junior social club
  • At no cost:
    • Initiate and run junior tournaments in conjunction with the club
    • Encourage clients (Senior & Junior) to become club members and play social club tennis
    • Present a quarterly coaching activity report to the club committee free of cost

Essential Attributes

  • Development Level 1 coach (minimum)
  • Tennis Australia Coach member
  • A focus to grow participation in tennis at a club and regional level
  • Working with Children Check
  • Be professional, reliable and motivated with a passion for tennis and helping others
  • Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current National Police Check

Desirable Attributes

  • Well mannered, articulate and well presented
  • Good communication Skills and the ability to liaise with clients and parents/carers regarding lessons and social tennis activities.
  • Ensure coaching is maintained to a high standard of professionalism.
